View the existing players here - If you are playing and have not yet sent info on your rating, you will play off a scratch rating of 1000. This will only slightly effect first round pairings. Please send evidence of your rating, online, ECF, FIDE to hello@iowcehss.com if you have not already done so.

On the day:

Please arrive around 9.30am and by 9.40am. The pairings will be drawn and your name card will be placed on the table. The pairings and standings will also be available to view on this website in real time. Just check before each round or look where your name card is for your next game.

Parking: You can only park on Union Street for 1 hour with no return (until 6pm). This is a bit of nightmare anyway and will be busy on a Saturday. We recommend using the paid parking at Co-op or at the bottom of union street to the left.

There is also a bus stop just outside the Hotel. You can get the train to Ryde from Shanklin or Sandown, it's a short walk 5 min to the hotel but uphill.

Accomm: If you wish to stay at the Yelf's Hotel on the Friday evening rooms are available around £60. 01983 564062

Differences will be settled by the arbitrator.

Game 1 - 10am (arrive by 9.40am)

Lunch break

Game 3 - 2pm

Game 4 - 3.30pm

Game 5 - 5pm

Presentation and optional social drinks 6pm

Filming and photography will take place on the day, this will be used to promote the IOW Chess Congress.
