Erfaan Wins Shanklin Summer Tournament

Previous winner, Harry, presenting Erfaan with the tropy

Congratulations to Erfaan Sharif who wins the Vectis Chess summer chess tournament. Erf took on a tough field in the final round, beating Harry Vernon in the final game to claim victory.

The tournament raises money for the Shanklin 50 Plus Centre and and is a great introduction for new players. The first round is grouped all play all without clocks with 25 mins per game. Then the group winners go on to play a final round on clocks in the afternoon.
