Funds raised from this competition are donated to the 50 Plus Centre, a self-supporting charity dedicated to offering friendship and support to the over 50s.

To introduce our beginners to the experience of playing in an OTB "over the board" competition It is open to all ages, genders & levels - Seat allocation on entry mixes everyone up The first round is played without clocks and has relaxed rules.

It is an eliminator round, however, all players are guaranteed to have at least 3 games

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Parking

Parking guidelines for information only - Drivers must check parking restrictions themselves.

Shanklin Train Station Car Park £2 all day. To the right of the station building at the entrance to the platform, there is a ticket machine that also sells the parking tickets. No ticket you risk a fine of £50.

LIDL - 1½ hours free. Run over time and risk a fine of £50

CO-OP - 2 hours free. Run over time and risk a fine of £70
