x1 Bye available to any player scoring 0.5 points. These are not available in the final round unless requested in advance. To request a Bye please inform the organiser before your requested round is paired and ideally as soon as possible.

You may withdraw after any round if you need to go.

No show rule:

Please arrive for 9.40am if possible, we will generate and post the pairing then.

If your opponent has not arrived for a round but has been paired. Start the clock as normal, move if white, wait if black. They will have 15 mins to arrive and will play with whatever time remains if they do arrive.

The player who was present at the start will be awarded 1 full point for the match. You are then welcome to play a friendly with anyone in a similar position, or a spectator, though this will not count to the tournament.

If you have missed the first round and not called ahead, you will be removed from the next round until we hear from you. Refunds will not be offered for no shows on the day.

• Insufficient material rule will result in a draw even if one player times out due to this not being noticed, please familiarise yourself with this rule here. If you think this is the case in a match, pause the clock and call an arbitrator over to confirm.

• Touch rule will be enforced. 

• x2 Illegal moves will result in losing the game.
